My dad collected chairs.  In his collection were Eames, Macintosh and Breuer, among others.  I inherited his love of pure design and there is nowhere better to experience this than Copenhagen.

We were so lucky that the exhibit  ‘Wegner – Just One Good Chair’ was on at the Design Museum in Copenhagen.

Thing is, there is so much more than one good chair!!  The exhibit takes you through the beginning of Wegner’s career and moves seamlessly to his colleagues (Jacobsen, Eames and Mies).  Okay, I'msounding like a chair geek, but nothing made me happier than seeing these incredible objects displayed as sculpture. 

​Wegner said (and I quote loosely), “that a chair should look good from every angle.”  All of these chairs do.  Although they are displayed in a museum, they are still relevant today.  Lucky us.
