BEFORE & AFTER: BOHO EDITION
Holly and Derek's siting room had been taken over by two little girls and their toys, not an abnormal site for a family with kids. The room itself was somewhat bland and didn't reflect the over all energy of this family. However, they were ready to take the plunge and create a grown up space that reflected their extensive travels.
Holly and Derek came to Palmerston with a vision; they wanted a somewhat bohemian space with deep saturated colours that were warm and inviting. We're not going to lie, this was a little bit out of the norm for Palmerston, we're used to clean monochromatic spaces. However, we were up for the challenge and excited to inject their personally into the space.
Holly loved pattern, so we weren't shy to show her multiple bold prints that we could layer together. Pillows, drapery, carpets and an ottoman all got the pattern treatment, while we kept base furniture pieces solid as a canvas for the patterns.
The front entrance was treated with a Benjamin Moore's Jet Blue to tie it all together and welcome in guests. The radiator was given a new cover that doubled as a bench seat with a custom cushion to match the living room.
