I hired Palmerston to help me with my kitchen and mudroom renovation. I am thrilled with the end result! Kirsten has a great eye and came up with a design that was a perfect blend of the clean lines that I had requested, and the ornate details of my Victorian period home. Every detail was carefully considered: the sight lines from the front of the house into the kitchen, the materials used and how they related to the rest of the house, the proportions of the new design as they related to the rest of the main floor. I appreciated the practicality she brought to the project as well. She thought about the use of the space (flow of people into and out of the space, location of storage and whether there was enough of it, various types of lighting to set different moods) and her design reflected the realities of the way that my family lives.
