At Palmerston Design Consultants, we’re proud to have been part of the Princess Margaret Home Lottery, one of Canada’s most exciting charitable initiatives. Organized by The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, the lottery raises vital funds for cancer research at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre—one of the top five cancer research centers in the world. Each year, the lottery features incredible grand prizes, including breathtaking showhomes, luxurious cottages, and the ever-popular City House Prize.

Among the standout homes, we have had the pleasure of designing four of the Toronto Showhomes. Set in an urban environment, these are fully furnished, move-in-ready homes that are raffled off to a lucky winner. What made these projects especially exciting for us was the rare opportunity to work without a private client. That meant we had complete creative control—from layout and materials to furniture, lighting, and décor.

We were able to explore bold ideas and take creative risks. Each home became a canvas for our design philosophy-thoughtful, refined, and always pushing design boundaries.

While we love what we do, being involved in the Princess Margaret Home Lottery adds a layer of meaning to our work. Each ticket sold supports groundbreaking cancer research, and we’re honoured to contribute to that mission in our own way—through beautiful, inspiring spaces that help raise funds and awareness.
